Kristy was born and raised in Griffin, GA. The at the age of 14 she moved to Canton, GA with her family. There she attended Creekview High School and participated in track, theater, and junior varsity softball. After graduation, she entered the United States Marines Corps, where she was an avionics technician working on CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters in Jacksonville, North Carolina. She attended a few college classes at the local Coastal Carolina Community College, and when her service ended after four and a half years she moved back to Georgia. She then began her degree at Kennesaw State University to pursue her love for reading and writing, and in 2019, Kristy graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
Kristy has several creative pursuits in her personal life. She enjoys learning new forms of arts and crafts and hopes to one day write her first book; she’s just waiting for the right idea to come along. Kristy lives in Woodstock, Georgia with her husband, Jack, and two dogs, Akamaru (a pit-wiener mix) and Sophi (a chihuahua-wiener mix). She enjoys being in the great outdoors, especially hiking and kayaking at Old Rope Mill. Some of her favorite past times are binging a good TV show, watching movies, reading fiction books, spending time with family, and meeting friends for a cocktail in Downtown Woodstock. Her guilty pleasures are reality TV and bad 80s horror movies, and her favorite drink is a good Kettle One dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. She loves traveling, even if it’s just visiting a new city close by, and looks forward to traveling more out of the country in the future.
